Hi XXXXXXX

I'm glad your thyroid tests were good.

Regarding an occasional alcoholic drink, the medication that alcohol can interact with is the Zoloft (sertraline). The combination can increase side effects from the sertraline such as dizziness, sleepiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination. It isn't an absolute contraindication, and some people do have a small amount of alcohol on it, but I recommend trying it at home (small amount) if you are going to try it.

The other thing about alcohol is that it can be directly irritating to the stomach lining, and as you are on a proton pump inhibitor, I am guessing you may have some stomach problems to have been prescribed that. So caution there in that alcohol can make stomach problems worse.

For headaches, it's fine to take Tylenol with Zoloft and Dexilant. But do not take Tylenol or other acetaminophen products if you have alcohol, because that combination is hard on the liver and can cause inflammation or injury to it.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
