Does Voltaren Help In Treating Arthritis Pain?
Paracetamol is safer than Voltaren
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Thanks for the query.
Voltaren is Diclofenac is very useful in arthritis but taking this medicine for long duration can damage the kidneys and stomach. It is advisable to take Tablet Paracetamol or Acetaminophen 1000mg twice a day which is safer.
SSRI need not be taken if you have problem with it. Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting, kneeling, climbing stairs.
Voltaren wont cause back pain in normal patients but in patients operated for back surgery, it has a risk in preventing complete healing and hence instability can result.

Podiatrist and chiro both have expressed inflammation to be very high in both areas and there is other joint pain (elbows, hands). Rheumatoid arthritis ruled out with blood work.
I am looking for a "safe" medicine or over the counter med to take for "inflammation and pain caused by inflammation. I understand every drug can have side effects. When you are in pain, 80% of time, a person is going to
get depressed a little, but SSRI off the bat to me was a little hasty to prescribe.
Isn't acetaminophen Tylenol and is Paracetamol a prescription drug? Tylenol has not helped much even for headaches in the past. IB helps but this is hard on liver and kidneys also. Alleve does not agree with me at all..
Thank you for your response.
Just take Paracetamol in higher dose for best effect
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
There is no anti inflammatory Medicine that does not damage the stomach and kidneys. The safest pain killer is Acetaminophen which is also known as Paracetamol or Panadol which does not require prescription. You can take it in higher doses for about 1000mg twice a day for better relief. More than Medicine, you need good physical therapy in the form of Plantar fascia stretching, heat therapy, TENS or IFT by the Physiotherapist.
These will give you better relief than the medication alone.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Heat therapy. MRI needed. No need for Orthotics unless lower limb weakness
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
It is best you get the MRI of the lumbosacral spine done. After this we will be clear on the amount and position of nerve compression in the spine.
Avoid bending to the side of the pain, bending forwards or lifting any weights.
Orthotics are usually worn only if you experience weakness in the lower limb. Now it is not required. Apply hot water bag to the painful areas will suffice under a cover of pain killer and muscle relaxant.
Also Epidural injection is a good option for relief for few months.
I hope I have answered your query.
