Can Garcinia Cambogia Be Taken With Elavil And Cymbalta?
Question: Is Garcinia Gamboia safe to take. Could it do damage to the liver?
I am currently taking Elavil,50mg Cymbalta, 60mg thyroid 45 mg Will the Garcinia Gambosia be compatible? I take the Elavil and Cymbalta for fibromyalgia.

Garcinia Cambogia and Elavil should not be taken together. When taken together these medications increases serotonin levels in the body leading to 'Serotonin Syndrome' resulting in high blood pressure,sweating, agitation etc.
There is no evidence currently as to Garcinia Cambogia causing liver damage.However it is metabolized in liver and can put additional stress on your liver.

Side Effects of Garcinia Cambogia include nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth and headache.
If you are on medications to lower blood sugar (anti diabetic drugs) ,Taking Garcinia along with it can lead to dangerously low blood sugar levels.
As mentioned in above answer taking it along with elavil can lead to serotonin syndrome resulting in high blood pressure,sweating, agitation etc.
