Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, we need to understand some basic facts. Almost all drugs are excreted in breasts milk upto some level. So their contraindication mainly depends upon amount of drug excreted as well as its potential side effects in infants.

Since phentermine in central nervous system acting drugs, so when it come to infants no risk is advised normally. However, it's major concentrations which are normally excreted via kidneys, in a normal kidney function individual, comes down to very low levels to cause therapeutic side effects after 36 hours. It reaches its peak in 3-4 hours, so in 36 hours it has already undergone many half lives.

But for extra cautiousness you can wait another 12 hours.

But, moreover if such is the case, so at this moment I couldn't understand why putting your baby at risk, at such important tine. I mean what was so compelling reason to use this drug, as it is not a life saving drug, and it's use can wait few more months.

Also that as it causes over secretion of norepinephrine, which can have menifestations of high blood pressures, so with post delivery phases, it should be avoided for a healthy recovery.

You can regain your body shape in few months, and can use pharmacological and non pharmacological options later on, as yours and your babies well being is most important thing at this point of time.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me maximum before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.
