Question: Hello Doctor
You have helped me out several times and I hope you remember me.
>
I have a new MRI image taken of my cervical neck.>
>
The MRI image is "burned" Into a CD-ROM.
>
Are there general directions on how to upload such an image for your evaluation?>
>
I haven't really looked on your site so I guess you can call me "somewhat lazy" please acknowledge the somewhat.
>
I do have a written evaluation the MRI but I am looking for you to personally evaluate the image the written report doesn't say that much and there really isn't much to go on except to repeat what someone says
>
So having said that I will try to look around to see how I might Upload an MRI image, But if you read this and don'ts in image it's obviously because I haven't figured out and would look for your guidance

As always thank you Doctor

Brief Answer:
please see the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
//
1-what is your all evaluation with specific references
>
//
You have got Cervical Spondylosis

//
2- which levels are of primary concern
>
//
Cervical Spine has to be considered as one whole entity
Levels do not matter at all times

//
I am 65 years old, if it was you, would you consider an anterior approach?
//
Anterior Approach and Posterior Approach both are valid methods
The Choice depends on the operating surgeon.
What one surgeon does by an anterior approach, the other will do by posterior approach.

Each and Every Approach has its own Advantages and Disadvantages
Just like how there is a chance for compression of Larynx and Esophagus in Anterior Approach
There are many other risks associated with posterior approach

As I have already told
The choice of the surgery varies from patient to patient and from surgeon to surgeon
For the same patient one surgeon may operate through anterior approach and the other surgeon may operate through posterior approach

So
Both are right
Both have risks
Both have advantages

If you want to undergo surgery
My advice would be to first choose the surgeon and then let him chose the approach

My input:
Please note that this is an incomplete comment which conveys a wrong meaning

The complete comment would be-
You are a 65-year-old man and Anterior approach will increase the chance of damaging either larynx (speech box) and or esophagus ( swallowing) while posterior approach has its sets of risk and not operating increases chances of certain risks including even paralysis.

Hope this answers your query
