Brief Answer:
Is not recommended to stop without down titration

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

I would not recommend to stop the medication at once, it should be down titrated. You should decrease the dose in order to stop it.
The effects of stopping it abruptly are palpitations, high blood pressure, sometimes even a heart attack.
So I would advise you to take 12,5 mg Metoprolole, then dose can be further decreased and stopped if needed.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
