Brief Answer:
No need

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Usually antigen test give more efficient result after 2 weeks of exposure. Since your act is not considered as high risk exposure so I suggest you that there is no need for going for repeat test again.

I have been reading on the internet probably that has made me anxious

If blood ,may be present in mouth than hiv can transmit.

Is it a possible in this case
doctor
Answered by Dr. Deepika Patil (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Little risk will be there

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Getting anxious is common don't worry. If she has some bleeding in mouth then there will be little risk of transmission. But if she has bleeding in mouth then there should be some stains of blood on your penis.

Since nothing like that is there so it is unlikely she has bleeding inside mouth and one more thing is she is not a known HIV positive case . If you have seen blood on your penis then get the antigen test repeated after 2 weeks of exposure. I think it is already over so you may get it done now.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Answered by Dr. Deepika Patil (8 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Don't worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you have not seen blood then don't worry. Also don't be so anxious. First , chances of you getting HIV is nill practically.

If she was a HIV positive then also transmission chances is very less .

Your HIV test won't come positive. If anybodies test comes positive at such initial phase then there are good medications to control the progression of the disease. They won't die soon.

In your case nothing is there to worry. I suggested you the test so that there shouldn't be any doubt in your mind and you should be stress free.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

you wrote they wont die soon.

but what can be the life period if infected (average life)

doctor
Answered by Dr. Deepika Patil (48 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
It depends on many factors

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The life span depends upon many factors like
- immunity of the person, the better the overall immune health the longer a person survives
- exposure to other infectious diseases, the less exposure the better
- viral load in the body, lower numbers are better, AntiHIV medications help here and are very effective
- route of transmission
- time of diagnosis and treatment started. Sooner the diagnosis is made, the better the life expectancy.

These all things decide the life span of a person. Average life span can't be said in general. It is for individual person taking into account all these factors.

People last years and even decades on treatment under the right circumstances... but remember all of this is a discussion to have ONLY if you are actually found to be HIV+. The chances in your case are much closer to ZERO. You are more likely to worry yourself into having a stroke or a heart attack than having HIV at this point... SO RELAX. If you feel you must, get tested and learn from this experience to avoid such a situation in the future.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
