Brief Answer:
BETTER TO AVOID,CIPROFLOXACIN WITH OXYCODONE

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for using HCM.

OXYCODONE being a narcotic,it is extensively metabolised, with long stay in the body from 6 hours to 90 days, in urine, blood and even upto the hairfollicle.

CIPROFLOXACIN-fluroquinone antibiotic although effective it has many side-effects and interactions, but still preferred due to its wide use.

Its more preferable to avoid this combination due to possible long term and short term complications, especially stimulation of nervous system, seizures, cardiac activty, skin allergies, bone and joint problems like tendinitis, abdominal discomfort and sometimes synergistic actions, due to the active longlasting active metabolites.(ciprofloxacin more common)

If you are on long term therapy with oxycodone,i recommend you to avoid ciprofloxacin, after consulting your treating doctor, who has prescribed these.
Any drugs in combination and known interaction is best to be avoided prophylactically.

This is my kind concerned advice and preferably go for some other course of antibiotics.

please comfortably contact me back for any feedback and help related to this.
All the best.
Take care

Brief Answer:
AVOID CIPROFLOX AT PRESENT

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for getting back at HealthcareMagic.

I kindly advise you delay the dose of ciprofloxacin to another 2--3 days at least for the clearance of the oxycodone metabolite at least from the blood.

If THE NEED OF ANTIBIOTIC IS REALLY URGENT(as you have not specified the reason for intake) you can go for some other antibiotic course keeping in touch with the prescribing (treating) doctor.

Secondly i advise you not to go for such medications (oxycodone),unless indicated strongly,if so only prescribed by medical practitioners, rather than friends.you can go for simple pain medications like tab ULTRACET (paracetomol+tramadol) for pain.

Please get back to me for any related doubts.

All the best,Take care.
