Are Light Spotting And Back Pain During Pregnancy Signs Of Miscarriage?
Question: Hi doc. I'm in early pregnancy, faint line on urine test. I had what i thought was a light period on February 10th for 3-4 days, on feb 23rd had a faint line but also discharge when i wiped brown,then red which lasted 24 hours but no heavy bleeding, urine clear,just when I wiped. I did have some back ache. My HCG level is 68.2 and I'm going for a second one tomorrow. My urinalysis showed 200+ haemolyzed. You think i miscarried.? First pregnancy 40.

1) Above clinical features are mostly associated with MISCARRIAGE and I suggest to undergo one Trans Vaginal Ultrasound scan to check viability of pregnancy.
2) Faint line on urine test, LOW beta-hCG value (68.2 mIU/ ml) and urine analysis DOESN'T indicate a healthy pregnancy. You must repeat beta-hCG test and review with test result.
3) You should take micronized progesterone supplement (if pregnancy is viable), take adequate bed rest, maintain genital hygiene and consult with your local gynecologist for proper management of the case.
