Brief Answer:
Possible but not very common!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is possible to have a flu without an elevated temperature though not very common. Note that not every flu requires antibiotics and as such you must not hurry to get some. For now, I recommend tylenol, rest, regular exercise and healthy diet. If nothing else such as temperature more than 100.5, extreme weakness, vomiting, etc. occurs, there is no need to seek further evaluation and care at this time.

I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

yes I appreciate your reply.i think I just had the common cold stuffy nose runny nose until I think I aspirated last night while eating.i had chest pain right away but never had doiffeiculy breathing.i couged this morning iand it hurt bad,i haven't coughed all day unitl now and it was aa level 7-8 pain in my chest from the cough.could the aspirated food cause this and do I need to seek help.i oky coughed a few times but it is extremely painful with no sputum except small undetected in thoroat.i had temp of 97 yesterday NOW IT is 99.7,what should I do?

I had no painful cough until I aspirated the food accidently.they had to open my eshogus this year so I am prone to aspirataing.i believe I could have aspiration pneumonia develop if I don't watch out for the sighns and symptoms, what do I need to do?

if I aspirated food into my lung which I think I did and I already had a cold what do I need to do now?i have a level 7 cough and I don't cough much but my chest hurts from the cough and my temp is 99.7 now.what should I do for the treatment of aspirsted food into lungs ?

Brief Answer:
YOu should be well at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and sorry for the tardy response.

If this were simple flu, you should be greatly improved with no fevers at this time. Should you still have fevers, that would be a reason to seek for immediate help.

I wish you well and keep me updated.

I appreciate you emailing me back.yes my cold symptoms got better but I was stressed one night a few days ago and started getting a headache that slowly worsened.i have had a mri done 2=3 times in the last few years and was told I had chronic vessel ischemia and I think that's what happened again since these headches are coming back again.

I am going to ask another discussion question about strokes and chronic vessel ischemia symotoms on another rquestion if you can answer ir you can reply on this is you can.the other night I developed left sided headache and it hasn't gone way.i think it is chronic vessel ischemia.i heard when the vessel tears it causing the headache and slowed down thinking.thats what has happened to me I think.my mri showed I had a small amount of chronic vessel ischemia.

Brief Answer:
Not sure about that!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Small vessel ischemia wouldn't cause just headaches. It often goes with neurological symptoms that you have not reported at this time. I will recommend that you continue with tylenol, rest and increased fluid intake for this only.

I wish you well and await your updates.

Brief Answer:
I will not recommend an early trip to the ER at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this follow up.

I have looked at this information closely. There is really no urgency going to the ER at this time. I will suggest that you rather continue with the tylenol. If these headaches fail to resolve within 5days.

I will like to know how you are feeling this time around as concerns the headaches.
