Are Allopathy Or Homeopathy Medication Advisable To Treat PCOD?

Question: Hi doctor I have been detected with few peripheral cysts on both ovaries with mild echogenic stroma whereas the ovaires size is normal. I have been taking homeopathy medicines for a month without any results on my period. my last period was on oct 22 after then i havent got my periods yet. I have shown hai allopathy doc today and she recommended novelon for the pcod and noretheistereone for periods to come. What should I do should i cont with homeopathy or take alloapathy medicines? Will my pcod and irregular period cause infertility problem?

It seems like you are having PCOD which is a common problem these days.
Take norethisterone as advised for withdrawal of periods and then take novelin as advised for 3 cycles.
Try this and see if periods regularises and in case irregularities persists don't worry as it is just a make of ovaries which will stay.
In case you are overweight then losing weight might also help

Thanks doc for the suggestion. I wanted ti know if taking noretheisterone for ome day thrice and then stopping taking it will be enough for inducing periods? What if i dont get my period regularly even after taking novelon will it be then a problem in conceiving? I am not overweight, thyroid is normal but prolactin levels are high. I will be getting married on 20th of this month. Please let me know any suggestions to keep in mind and lead a happy life despite of pcod.

No you will need to take norethisterone for at least 3 days and then stop it to have a good proper period.
Yes novelin can help you in regularising your periods but prolactin has to be normal for normal conception
Start taking cabergoline as advised by your gynaecologist for raised prolactin

Thanks a lot doc, i have got my prolactin tests again and it is normal now. Those were 2 months old reports. I hope now any issues will not take place and my periods might come. If you can help me out in knowing after my periods start when should i start taking novelon? from which day of my period)(

Take norethisterone withdrawal as prescribed

You can wait for periods but since there is nothing definitive about the date of periods it's better to take norethisterone as prescribed for 3 days and on leaving the drug you will get periods in 3-5 days and then you can start novelon from day 3 of periods.
