What Is The Cause For A 70 Year Old Being Awake At Night,talking Incoferently When On Qutan And Restyl?
Dr. My mother aged 70 is on Qutan 50 (0-0-2). Also Restyl 0.25 (1-0-2). She is quite awake at night. Keeps talking incoferently something or the other. She is v sleepy, almost knocked out in the morning till about 1pm. What do these medicines do and do they have to br readjusted.

Qutan is a antipsychotic and restyl is sleeping pills. At old age due to demenia, few patients speak irrelevant things in sleep or in conscious state. if she is not getting response at that dose, dose of qutan could be increased. Take these medicine at night only due to sedative effect.
