How Long Does Micronor Take To Regulate Periods?

Am on Micronor to prevent pregnancy as well as regulate periods. Have been on it for a month and a half and I keep getting my period every 10 days or so. Or I am finding spotting. I can not take any other forms of birth control as I have factor 2 liden deficiency. How long will it take for my period to regulate? Getting sick of this every ten days thing. And how long does spotting tend to last and does it get bad??

Hi,
Micronor contains norethisterone.
These are used as progesterone only pills or mini pill.
Causing irregular spotting is a common side of these mini pills.
Taking the tablet at exactly same time, can prevent this.
Usually the hormonal pills will take 3 to 6 months to regularize the hormonal levels.
So possibly you may need to use the pills for few more months.
If the irregularity in menstrual cycles increases, you may go for higher dose of contraceptive pills with your doctor's advice.
Take care.
