Can Cerazette Cause Feelings Of Pregnancy?

I am on cerazette, for three months now. Lately I have been experiencing cramps, nausea, very sore breast and I am a bit bloated even though I have been using the toilet regularly. I came on my period on the 30/06/2011, which was light but lasted a week and after that, I forgot my pill twice and I had what I believe it was withdrawal bleeding for another 5 days. Is it normal to feel like I am pregnant whlst on the pill?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you are experiencing is expected side effects from birth control pills. These symptoms will gradually subside as your body gets used to the pill. However, if you miss your period, please be advised to take a home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
