Bumps On Leg, Redness, No Itchiness, Painful. Is It Poison Ivy?
I have two red circles on my lower leg with smaller bump like circles within the big area (one right to below my knee and the other on the back of the same knee). They don't really itch, but sometimes they do, and when I do scratch they hurt. They also haven't spread anywhere. I do not think I have come in contact with poison oak/ivy, but I'm not 100% sure. What can I do about them, and do you know what it sounds like it is?
Hi, thanks for your query. You seem to have developed contact dermatitis due to poison ivy or something else.
Avoid scratching as it initiates a scratch itch cycle which further aggravates itching. Instead you may take oral anti histamines daily.
Apply a moderate steroid like momatosone twice a day.
If it does not improve or worsens, you may contact a dermatologist for exact diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this helps you.
