What Is The Lump At The End Of The Tonsil?

Hi, I have suffered from tonsil stones, enlarged tonsils etc.....forever. the last couple of mths I have felt this lump on the base of my right tonsil. It is driving me crazy...I can feel it all day everyday. I have no pain, no bleeding,nothing other than this absolutely annoying constant feeling. I went to ent...she looked in my mouth then scolded through my nose...said all looked fine. I am concerned she didn't see it. If I press my toungue all the way down...I can see a pink nodule thing. I am freaking out. I am going on vacation with my kids tomorrow, and am having a panic attack that I have tonsil cancer and she missed it. I am going to Disney and will see another ent when I return....could she have missed it?

Hello,
there are tonsils on right and left side at the side of back of tongue. In addition there are tonsils at the back of tongue also .
If you try to examine them then they could be visible as red lumps. You should not worry if you have been examined by an ent specialist.
If there is pain then you should get reexamined by another ent specialist and get done endoscopy for it.
These tonsils get enlarged by any tonsillar infection or by any reflux disease.
You should take care of reflux disease if you have .
