Hello, if physiotherapy is not helping you need to see a doctor because it seem from your complains that you have developed cervical disc prolapse with radiculopathy which is causing neck pain to radiate downwards involving C5 nerve root. You need a X-ray of cervical spine AP and lateral view to diagnose the disc space narrowing and a MRI to find out the disc and nerve status. If all ok you might get better with some medication and exercises.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
What you are experiencing is called 'Radiculopathy'. It basically suggests entrapment of a nerve root in your cervical spine in its origin or course.
It can be caused by lifting weights, episodes of over-exertion during work, long hours on computer, inappropriate posture while sleeping or sitting, lack of proper nutrition-exercises-rest-recreation or any other relevant past medical history.
If it has been persistent or even increasing since few days, you need to visit your orthopaedician. Depending upon the clinical findings they might ask you to get an MRI done, which shall help establish a diagnosis and in turn allow one to formulate a treatment plan.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You need neurological examination and/or MRI cervical spine.
The distribution is typical of a irritation of nerve root - may need decompression...
No mention of your age, gender or co-morbidities - to suggest more options...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
