Brief Answer: Please do not take diovan till we know exact cause Detailed Answer: Dear patient. Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question. The drug you are referring is Diovan which belongs to Angiotensin Receptor Blocker group of medicines. It is used for control of hypertension and heart failure. I would advise against taking diovan right now as we do not know the exact cause of your breathlessness. Once this is known, I can recommend to you the correct medicines to be taken. I wish to know more details about your breathlessness. -When does it occur? -What aggravates your breathlessness? -What relieves it? -Do you have accompanying chest pain, leg swelling? -Do you have fever and cough as well? -Are you able to sleep well or you get breathless spells in sleep? -Are you having diabetes/ hypertension/ ischemic heart disease? This information will help me to narrow down to the cause whether it is respiratory or cardiac. Along with the above history, we need your ECG, X-ray chest, blood investigations like CBC, lipid profile, fasting and post lunch sugar levels, 2D echo of the heart. Please keep me updated with these reports as well. I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me. Yours sincerely, Dr Thakker.

i am looking for a surgeon that can fix my sons breathing. he has had 2 nose surgery s before and still can t breathe at all he says. he is 19 years old he has a deviated perforated septum plus allergies really bad witch caused a lot of swelling and blockage. he had the surgery to correct the deviated perforated septum a few weeks before his insurance ended. this was in September 2013. he went a few months later to check up on it. the doctor said it appeared that the deviation was closed and healed. ( by the way he had the back of his right ear transplanted in his perforated septum.) but the problem is that it has never stopped bleeding ever. since all of that time. ( do you think it is because it is a transplant that it doesn t stop bleeding? ) he does not blow his nose he uses a q-tip to get the boogers out. he has used a lot of creams and oils to help the inside of his nose heal but nothing works. also the doctor said while he was in surgery he realized he could not break one of the bones behind his nose so that he could breathe on one side. i asked why not? he said because my sons skull was not shaped right from the inside. so it was odd shaped. and he feared if he did break it that since it was so deep. he might make his skull collapse. i am not sure this is even true because i never saw a picture or x-ray. but my question here is he has medicade full coverage. who can preform a difficult surgery to help him. his nose is swollen again because of allergies and he can t breathe at all. he take the allergy shots to help cure the allergies since he was 9 years old and allergy prescriptions, eye drops excreta. had 2 surgery s already and still can t breathe. he just wants to breathe. is there a highly highly highly qualified doctor the specializes in this field? that will except medicade? we have utah medicade.
