Is Bloated Stomach Normal Post Lumbar Laminectomy ?

I am 11days post op of a laminectomy-- lumbar 3-4 4-5 both left and right. I have a bloated stomach..could you please advise as to wether this is normal, or am I just getting fat. I have never carried any weight in my tummy and it would be normal to state that my hips usually protrude while my tummy has always sort caved inward. Please advise?

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
After multiple laminectomy procedures there occurs a kyphotic deformity of the spine where the spine is pushed forwards making the abdomen protrude out as well. The kyphotic deformity needs to be reduced by certain exercises and braces which will be explained to you by your Orthopaedician. Avoid constipation which can be common after this kyphotic deformity, by eating plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, drink plenty of water. Do walking exercise everyday for 40 minutes in keeping with your Doctor's advise.
