What Is The Appropriate Dosage Of Vicodin And Robaxin For Neck Injury?

My friend recently had a "whiplash" neck injury from a fall on the ice. Her doctor prescribed Robaxin which did nothing. Then she was prescribed Vicodin which she thought was a heftier muscle relaxer. Now she knows that Vicodin in a narcotic. Her prescriptions are for Vicodin q6h and Robaxin q12h. How should she time the taking of these drugs ? Thank you.
