Yellow buildup in armpit hair. Used antiperspirant. What is it?

Hi Doctor, I have a buildup on the hairs of my armpits, that is yellow and is on the individual hairs (not all of them) it is very hard to get off the hairs and washing with soap does nothing. It is not anti-antiperspirant buildup as I don t use antiperspirant because I have very little body odor and shower and wash with soap twice a day.

Welcome to healthcare magic

You seem to be having Trichomycosis axillaris. It is a bacterial infection of hair over the under arms. The best treatment will be to shave off the underarm hair. You may use a benzoyl peroxide 2.5 % soap or wash and apply fusidic acid cream thrice a day for cure. Get these prescribed by your primary care physician. Using antiperspirant will help prevent recurrence.
Hope this helped
Take care
