Worried About Pregnancy. Had D&C After A Miscarriage. High HCG Levels

I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago with a d&c....I wanted to wait one cycle before trying again but I fear I may have ovulated today and also had sex the night before. I am wondering if it is possible to ovulate while still having increased hcg levels and if I took an ovulation test, would it show up positive because of the extra hcg levels in my body not necessarily an lh surge?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. However I also believe that you want to wait for another cycle before having any sexual contact which seems fine with anybody. I wonder if you have had any hormone checks done in the recent past to know about the HCG levels and yes, this may be the reason for the LH surge. You should however, contact an endocrinologist for any hormonal issues. I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
