Will Compressed Nerves In Neck Resolve By Itself?

Hi I straightened up too early on a plane two weeks ago and hit top of my head hard on underneath of luggage rack. Stayed conscious but have suffered a bad headache every day, pain in sinuses and eyes, blood in sinuses two days ago and I have pain and numbness in my left hand and right foot - also finding swallowing more effort. Went to my GP who said that I may have compressed nerves in my neck which should take 2 wks to get better. Still no improvement. Should I seek further help. I am a 57 year old woman (5ft 9 ins). Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to nerve compression at cervical spine.

For further assessment you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies after spine surgeon consultation.

You may require tablet Pregabalin and multivitamin after consultation.

It is hard to resolve itself.

You may require surgical intervention after surgeon consultation

Hope I have answered your query..
Let me know if I can assist you further.
