Will NyQuil Cause Burning, Cramping Sensation In Stomach And Intestines?

I took a very small dose of NyQuil-- no more than half the measuring cup and now, hours later, I have this burning, cramping sensation in my stomach and intestines along with mild nausea. It feels somewhat like a hang over. Did it just upset my stomach or is it not being processed by my liver?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It would be unusual to get these symptoms from a small amount of NyQuil, especially hours later, so I would suspect it is not related to this, and possibly you are having another cause of gastroenteritis, such as a virus or something you ate.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
