Why The Left Hand Is Red And Swollen?
i am 85 years old and took a fall about 3 days ago. Now my left hand is red and swollen. Could the swelling be related to the fall? I was also hospitalized about 3 months with a flash edema which ended up as a heart attack. Needless to say I am a little concerned about any swelling.

The swelling in the left hand after fall at 85 years of age could be a fracture. It will be better if you get an Xray done to rule out any fracture.
I would advise you to get an opinion from an orthopedic surgeon.
