Why My Wife's Fever Is Not Going Down?

My wife is having fever since 6 days and all tests like malaria and typhoid turned out to be negative. But the blood culture result is yet to be known, which we will get only monday. The doctor has just prescribed P650 tablet and asked her to take it until we get the blood culture report. Can we wait until monday as it has already been 6 days. please advise.

yes she can wait till Monday,If its viral it will pass without indecent by itself,if it persists then it is bacterial and they can give her a broad spectrum antibiotic now to cover any bacterial infection,But its advised to know the actual organism if any that's causing the fever as prescribing antibiotics with viral or non sensitive bacterial organisms will be of no benefit to her.
