Why My Breasts Are Leaking Fluids During My Periods?

Hi, i have had the mirena for about 2 years now and recently have been having pregnancy symptoms took a pregnancy test and it was negative i hadnt had a period in 4 months but finally started yesterday but for some reason my breasts are leaking fluid. Any ideas?

Hi,

I think that you should do a blood prolactin level as high prolactin level in blood can lead to fluid secretion from breast. Also, I would advise a thyroid profile test to rule out hypothyroidism. If breast secretion doesn't reduce with medicine, an ultrasound examination of both breasts may be required.
