Why My 6 Weeks Old Baby Has Discolouration In Tongue?

Hi my 6 week old baby has a greyish tongue with black discoloration on the sides, she is formula and breast fed but mostly breastfed she has increased her formula intake to 4oz bottles now every four hours or so and i noticed the black discoloration has become more prominent since then. could this be the cause ?
