Why Is My Knee Sore?

I suddenly have a sore knee, it goes out sometimes when I walk - shooting pain. There is a lump on the lower front of the knee cap. Never had knee problems. Had surgery on Monday on upper eyelids. Was walking on treadmill prior but have been off it this week. Is it serious or should I just ice it. I am worried about things like DVT

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I do not think it is DVT as then pain is in whole leg rather then knee alone. I would suggest you to get MRi of the knee to see if there is any ligament injury or meniscus tear. If some thing is there then we can do needful. Avoid squatting and sitting cross leg.
