Why Do I Have Ache Like Pain Underneath My Breast Or Near Chest Area?

I'm getting ache-like pains up underneath my breast bone, sometimes travelling out my back and up around my chest area. i had my gall-bladder out years ago but the pain can be quite similar. i'm on 15mg of neomarcazole for hyper thyroidism. Could that be a side effect??

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
No, this kind of pain is not a side effect of neomercazole.
But this kind of pain is seen if thyroid hormone levels are abnormal.
Neomercazole is used in hyperthyroidism.
So possibility of thyroid hormone imbalance is high in your case.
So better to first get done thyroid function test to rule out thyroid imbalance.
If it is present than you need dose adjustment of neomercazole.
If thyroid function test is normal than no need to worry for it. Possibility of muscular pain is more. So take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
