Why Do I Have Pain In Finger, Peeling Skin And Swelling?
finger started hurting. No bite marks or stings that I can recall however, it became swollen and painful. Asked several mds, told it might be gout or an infection( pain had lessen so if infection- was told nothing had to be given). Now the skin is peeling off and it is still swollen. The skin that is peeling off does not hurt but it looks horrible. What is going on? I am 61 years old and a 6 year breast cancer stage 2 survivor.

I think this could be infection some time very little load of bacteria gives only swelling of the area and not much in such cases antibiotic should be tried on tentative basis along with the NSAID, and the best option are,
1) Tab Amoxicillin 500 mg three times in day for five days
2) Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in day
