Hello,
As per your description of the symptoms, it appears as though you may have miscarried. Since during very early pregnancy, the size of the conceptus is very small and the accompanied bleeding with a miscarriage simulates that of a normal period, it is not easy to distinguish. Please inform your consultant at once. You will also need a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route, to know the status of the pregnancy. This with serial serum beta-hCG titres, will help to assess the prognosis. Hope this helps.
