Why Do I Have Ear Block With Stiffness And Soreness In Neck?

I had a blocked ear. It was full of fluid. Doc said to take mucinex. This was three weeks ago. Now pressure is less but ear is ringing and neck is stiff and sore. Hearing can suddenly become muffled and later clear up but ringing and fluttering occur. When I called back to tell of my new issues, the Doc said it could take several weeks to clear up. It makes me nervous. Three weeks seems like a long timeā€¦ Pressure comes and goes; shifts from ear to ear and back of head as well as to top of head.
Is it relays something that I must just wait out?

Thanks for your querry,

You are suffering from middle ear effusion due to eustachian tube blockage

this occurred due to throat or nasal infections.

You need to take antihistaminics like levocetz along with mucinex.

Take steam inhalation and avoid cold and junk foods.

It'll take atleast one week to subside the symptoms.

Many thanks take care. bye.
