Why Can't I Burp?

Have never been able to burp at will, occasionally would be able to but these are never proper belches more gurgling. I suffer from constant flatulance, above the norm (or so I'm told) and regularly become bloated. I feel like if I was able to burp I would be able to relieve the pressure inside my stomach but to no avail.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of inability to burp, whenever they occur it is more like gurgling, suffer from constant flatulence, bloated, have a feeling that burping would reduce the pressure.
Hence the basic problem that you have is bloating and flatulence. If the lower esophageal sphincter and pyloric sphincter of the stomach are normally function, these will not allow the gas to come up a wrong way.
Hence you have to go for the following:
Investigations to know the causes of flatulence which can be:
Stress and anxiety.
Aerophagia
Aerated drinks
Gas producing bacterial overgrowth.
Get the investigations of the blood, urine and stool, ultrasound of abdomen and X-ray in standing position.
Enteroclysis may be needed if the clinical evaluation and examination by a Doctor suggests so.
Proper medication which may be in the form of a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole, Domperidone, Activated charcoal and probiotics may help.
Take anxiolytic medicines if indicated so .
