Why Am I Not Getting My Periods And Pregnancy Test Shows Negative?

For the last three months I haven t had a period and its always regular. I ve also have light cramps, spotting, my hunger increased and now I can t stand the smell of food so I don t eat but once a day. I get sick off and on, and back pain. I ve also recently took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Am I pregnant or something else? I m worried.

Hi,

It is better to get an ultrasound scan to rule out pregnancy and other abnormalities of ovaries and uterus causing irregular periods. Also, get your thyroid and prolactin hormone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. B. Radhakrishnan. Nair, OBGYN
