General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Having heaviness or pain / discomfort in the chest could be due to many conditions like:
- Heart attack and other heart problems like angina
- Panic attacks
- Heartburn or esophagus disorders
- Sore muscles
- Lung diseases - pneumonia, pleurisy, or pulmonary embolism
- Costochondritis - an inflammation of joints in your chest

I advise you to go to ER, to do ECG done. If they are normal then get a TMT / stress echo done. If they are also normal then it's not cardiac issues, then take:
-Tab. Flexon Mr or acenac Mr
-Cap. Panto-D 40 mg

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
