Why am I suffering from constipation, tired, frequent urination and spotting?

Hello for the last few weeks I have had small cramps in my lower abdomen, constipated, peeing three times a night (never had to get up before) I m crabby, tired, have a heavy feeling in my tummy, my last period was incredibly light, more like heavy spotting, pregnancy test inconclusive, any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From your history it may be  " Implantation bleeding or spotting" or  Premenstrual syndrome(PMS) . Usually PMS presents with
- abdominal bloating & pain
- sore breasts
- acne
- constipation & diarrhea
- headaches, Mood swings, irritability
- sleep disturbances etc.

I advice you to do,
1. Serum beta HCG test which is more reliable than HPT.
2. Relax yourself and do YOGA
3. Take nutritious diet
4. Take plenty of fluids
5. Antispasmodics
6. Consult your gynaecologist for further assistance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
