Why Am I Missing Periods From Last Few Months?

I haven't got menstruation for 3 months now. I do use a pregnancy kit to check if I'm pregnant but the result is always negative. Friends say I need to drink alcohol for me to have my period. I'm really worried...will drinking alcoholic beverages really help?
