hi, i am 52 years old with very sore breasts and dry nipples, i took some of the dry parts off which was a mistake, cause it burns now while i shower. This is the first time that this has happened, could you suggest something i can do to take care of this
Dryness and sore nipples might be due to simple causes like using harsh soaps, irritation due to material of your bra or the chlorine content in the pool etc. As per your age is concerned (age - 52), hormonal changes due to menopause is common, which also presents with vaginal dryness & hot flashes. Also, there is no discharge, so don't be panic about cancerous condition (based on the history). I advise you to do: - Hot compress - Use moisturiser - Do a self breast examination and one done by the doctor - If due to menopause, HRT will be helpful
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
