Which Medication To Be Taken For Anxiety As I Am On Methadone Therapy For Over Ten Years?

I have been on methadone therapy for over 10yrs for chronic pain, two years ago I had a medical emergency and have been having anxiety and panic attacks ever since. I am 35 yrs old and a Nurse and it's important that I am in good health physically and emotionally. I would like to start taking medication for my anxiety but it seems almost everything interacts in one way or another with the methadone...please help?

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

u can take any antidepressants with methadone. Antidepressanr like SSRIs which include Escitalopram, paroxetine, Fluoxetine, Sertraline are safer. U can discuss this with ur psychiatrist and he/she could prescribe any antidepressant of his choice.

Thanks
