When Should One Take Diane-35 Contraceptive Pill When Diagnosed With PCOS?
I ve been diagnosed with PCOS and so I m taking Diane 35 for it. The doctor told me to start on the first day of my period but when I took it thinking i would get my period that day, it turned out to be just spotting. Which only lasted 2 days and my period did not come. Anyway i went on with the 21 pills. I just finished the 21-day pack and im on the 4th day of the 7-day stop, but still no period. I just wanna ask if this is because i didn t start on the first day of my period? and should i continue taking it after the 7-day stop or wait for my period first?
The absence of a period is not related to the day you started. It is related to hormone insufficiency you are having because of PCOS. You should continue to take pills regularly despite the fact that period may be early or late. The oral contraception pills will help you to have more regular periods.
