When Is The Food Broken Down Into Glucose In The Body?
44 year old type 1 diabetic since age 11, insulin pump (2009) and continous glucose monitor.(nob 2013) having super diff time with "guesstimating" carbohydrates. have not eaten potatoes, pasta, for years becuase I cannot understand WHEN they are broken down into glucose by MY body. Did a brown rice test a few times and it was epic failure. Can you help me understand? Does everyone's body break these foods down differently?
dear sir i understand your concern.our body having a unique which is called digestion what ever you eat will ultimately broken down into three basic forms like carbs--glucose,fatty acids from oil,and amino acids from protein like meat.but now comes the tricky part in body all this are interchangable in between them selves.from protein you get amino acids which get converted to glucose if insulin is not there.this is a very vast topic of discussion....any way if you have any clarification kindly get back to me......regards
