What Will Be The Effects Of Taking Progesterone Capsules During Pregnancy?
Hello Dr,
I tested positive after I missed my period. This is 10th day today. I have done early morning urine test by I-can kit. Its positive. Me nd my husband went to our consultant and he has proposed some medicines including Progesterone soft gelatine capsule 200 mg to intake via vagina. We do not get any details. Is it normal? what will be the effect of this capsule?

hi,welcome to healthcare magic forum,First of all congratulations to you.no need to worry much.progesterone is needed for maintenance of pregnancy.Once pregnancy is confirmed we prescribe it because it will help uterus in preparing and protecting the fertilized zygote and it should be continue till the placenta produce adequate amount of progesterone.So continue it no problem.good luck.
