It particularly aggravtes when i inhale dust or i experiece sudden temperature changes.. i had to carry otrivin with me and clear off congestion, such was the intensity of my congestion and itchy nose..This had been going on for last 5-6 years..recently ENT suggested montair LC and furmaist ..after using it for a week , i have experienced tremendous relief.. my issues seem to have vanished..i wanted to know if this medication is safe for long term usage?
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. Your symptoms are characteristic of allergic rhinitis. And treatment of choice for allergic rhinitis is nasal spray containing corticosteroid and oral tablet containing antihistamine and anti allergic. And you are taking correct treatment for this. Thats why you are improving. So you need to continue this treatment for atleast 1 year and then tapering can be done. No need to worry for long term side effects. These drugs are safe for long term use.
