What To Do If Having Sluggishness, Weakness, Unable To Sleep, Stress And Depression, Dryness In Vagina After Hormone Replacement?

I have been taking a hormone replacement for the last 20 yrs and I had a doctor that put me on a male hormone and for a yr I had problems. I did not know it was that until my recent doctor at a clinic saw me and changed it. Now I am sluggish, no energy to do much, cant sleep good, I am stressed and depressed more than usual since my husbands accident and needing 3 back surgeries in last yr and then his job let him go. Now he has depression and anxiety issues and I have been trying to help him and do what I can got him seeing a counselor and a psychiatrist for his meds on that part but im getting all the lash outs, now ive gained more weight than need too and yet cannot get a doctor to check my hormone level or thyroid T3-4 make sure what is going on and I just aint got the get up and go and I cry more than usual. What can I do. I am trying what I can but im just to a point don't want to be bothered. I have no insurance and no help really.
Would Premarin be best to go back on since it did help me in the beginning and Ive been told by friends try plexus or the wrap to help but I don't know. I have heartburn and take meds for that. Prilosec otc I know I need help in all areas but trying to get the help and all is my problem. What can I do to get the energy and pep to try and help... I cant even enjoy intimacy when I do get to with my husband cus of the dryness due to hormones I feel is wrong one to take. Thank you

Hi, I went through your query. Premarin is not a male hormone. It is estrogen i.e. female hormone. I assume you had your menopause when you started it. Premarin is very effective for vaginal dryness. And lack of estrogen results in a number of problems like irritability, hot flushes, bone damage and aggravates mood problems as has happened in your case. So going back to Premarin should help. However with long term use as in your case there is a risk of stroke, blood coagulation and even cancer of the uterus and breast. So ideally I would advise you to take the medicine at the lowest effective dose and stop it as soon as possible. You should also get yourself regularly checked up. Hope this helps.
