What To Do If I Missed Taking Cerazette A Day After Unprotected Sex?
I have been taking cerazette regularly at about 8am every morning for a long time. I had unprotected sex at 11pm one night and forgot the next morning to take it and took it at 11pm the next day as I forgot. What do I need to do shall I think about getting the morning after pill
Missing one tablet does not cause much effects. You must only take it as soon as you remember that you have missed it and then take the next tablet on your regular schedule. Usually if a pill is missed for more than 12 hours, a backup contraception is advised for another 48 hours as ovulation may occur during this time. This happens only if your are in the ovulatory phase or peak fertile period of your cycle. Otherwise missing one pill will not have any effect.
Check to see which phase of your cycle it is. If it is between day 12-18, you may use backup contraception like Plan B, if no, there is no need for any additional protection. You have delayed it by about 15 hours. So just check the cycle phase and decide about morning after pill.
