What To Do For Swelling In The Wrist Due To A Fall?

Fell backwards off a log and caught my weight of 170 lbs. on my left wrist. No black and blue or visible injury, very sore and swollen. tried cold compresses, and soaking in warm epsom salts. pain has subsided, but swelling of the upper hand is still on going. should there be anything else to do?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As there will be a soft tissue injury and bony mal-alignment which happens after the weight bearing fall. Good that there is no fracture and only a soft tissue inflammation. This will subside in days to come. Continue hot water fermentation and use a compression bandage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
