I was called back for second chest x-ray because the first one showed a small
shadow -I have had the second x-ray which still shows a shadow they want me to return in 3 months for a follow up xray - why is this? -should I be worried? the doctor will talk to me when he returns from holiday!
Very often small shadows are seen on chest X rays and its important to find the cause of such a problem. It may not be possible to give an opinion based on X ray right now, therefore he has asked to get a follow up X ray after 3 months. If you feel that you have chest complaints then you may request him to order a CT scan chest immediately for review.
