What should I do to treat burning sensation in mouth ?

I whitened my teeth overnight last night. Some of the bleach came out of the trays and was on my gums and tongue for a good 8 hours at least. The burning on my tongue has subsided, but there is now an extremely painful burning sensation along my lower gums. Also, the area that is burning has turned from the regular pink gum color to a white color. Did the bleach burn my gums? Also, what can I do to treat it ?

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
The leaking of bleach from tray has caused chemical injury to your gum tissues. I suggest that you apply Vit-E gel, that is available OTC on the affected parts twice or thrice daily. Also avoid hot and spicy food for a few days.
There's nothing to worry your blanched tissue will return back to pink color soon. Take a healthy and nutritious diet.
Thanks

Hi, My name is Donna, I went to a new MD on this past Wed and my BP was196/100 while on Metoprolol Tartrate 25 mgs 2x daily. She changed my medication to Amlodipine Besylate 5 mgs as well as Citalopram 10 mgs (anxiety). I took both pills starting Wed night and by Thursday night I was having horrible symptoms. Anxiety, restlessness, nausea, vomiting (aggravating my acid reflux), could not sleep - so, after taking the Citalopram for 3 nights, I stopped and am just taking the Amlodipine 5 mgs. Now I m having this horrible burning in my mouth, throat and chest. I m starting to panic. What should I do?

Hi- This morning I woke up with a sore throat and runny nose. I also had a swollen gland on the right side of my neck under my jaw. It s not sore, and feels hard to touch. Also during the day the swelling goes down occasionally (after a saline gargle etc.). Should I be worried about these symptoms? Or is this just a simple common cold?

I have been experiencing thick, bubbly, sticky saliva for many months now - following about two years of using hydrogen peroxide for a mouthwash. I ve seen two dentists and two oral surgeons; surgeons tested my salivary glands and concluded my saliva was normal. They could not diagnose my problem. Told me the saliva must thicken after it is released from the glands. and in my mouth...Both believed the hydrogen peroxide was not the cause. My only relief is when I m eating or chewing gum (xylotol). Is there any antidote, assuming it was the hydrogen peroxide that brought it on?

i went to the dr. yesterday for sore throat, body aches. was told it was not strep but viral infection. she did notice a pus pocket on the right side of my throat, I was prescribed antibiotics (Z-pack) for 5 days. My dr told me to gargle with salt / warm water. My question is should I try to remove the pus pocket myself with a q-tip, as that is what I have been reading online that several people remove the pus pocket with q-tip.
