Hi

I understand your concern.

To avoid Hiv transmission it is necessary to avoid direct sexual contact or blood contact.

It is not transmitted if you are living with them.

It is also not necessary to keep separate his family.

Just avoid sexual contact and blood contact to prevent transmission.

You and your family members need to support him.

Thank you.

Dermatologist Dr. Bharatesh Devendra Basti's  Response
Thank you for query. There is no need to separate them from their family.HIV does not spread by daily routine activities like eating, talking, shaking hands , etc.All you have to do is follow universal precautions.See that their secretions do not come in direct contact with any other members like blood.see that they both take treatment for HIV depending on their cd4 counts and viral load. You can get back to me for any clarifications .Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
